Stuffed Shells, with Turkey Burger & Velveeta Cheese | Recipe

This recipe has been in my family for such a long time, I couldn't really tell you how long. When I was a kid, I always loved this dish, and of course still do! My husband is in love with this meal and so are both of kids. It really is a pleaser to all ages and definitely "hits the spot".

The following recipe makes about 22-25 shells. Boil at least 25 shells in case some break while boiling them, to point you can't use them.

Ingredients:
1/2 Lb jumbo shells (cooked & drained)
1Tbs oil
1 LB ground turkey or beef
2 slices of bread (broken into small pieces)
1/4 cup milk- poured over bread
3/4 cup Velveeta cheese chunk, cut into bite sized chunks
1 jar (15 0z) of pasta sauce

*Money saving tip-- Buy velveeta cheese slices instead of the original Velveeta cheese chunk (it's almost half the price!). You'll need about 8 slices of cheese, or more if you like your shells extra cheesy. Place unwrapped cheese slices in one pile and cut into bite sized chunks.

Directions:
Cook shells in water and oil according to package directions, drain and set aside. Mix rest of ingredients in bowl and fill shells. Put in greased baking dish. Pour pasta sauce over shells, then cover your dish with tin foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. If made the day before, don't put sauce over shells until ready to go into oven.

We hope you enjoy this favored dish, from our family to yours!

Wow -- these look great. We really like Velveeta cheese -- especially mixed with pasta. These don't look too difficult to make either.
